We pride ourselves on turning ordinary yachts into extraordinary masterpieces. This recent project, epitomises our commitment to bespoke craftsmanship and innovative design. This case study delves into how we took a bland, uninspired beige yacht, and turned it into a stunning, high-end, one-of-a-kind space that truly stands out.

This project has also had a significant engineering overhaul – with enough battery power to run silently overnight and top-spec’d audio visual throughout the boat.

From Bland to Bold

When the Broom arrived with us, she was a classic representation of a mid-2000s yacht design – subtle, neutral and practical. Whilst well-maintained, its cream-coloured interior and conventional fittings lacked personality and flair. It was a yacht that blended in, rather than stood out.

Our client envisioned something radically different.

Our client’s dream: a bold and unique space

They desired a yacht that would reflect their bold personality and distinctive style – an yacht that was vibrant, electric, and unmistakably unique. This vision set the stage for a complete transformation, embodying the theme: “Why blend in, when you can stand out.”

Galley

We completely remodelled the Galley area which included increasing the size of the cupboards & spraying them in a contemporary colour to match the rest of the interior refit. A new worktop, floor & splash-back all complete the transformation, particularly the use of beautiful Siminetti pearl tile surface. We completely removed gas from the boat and fitted an electric hob, dishwashers and created custom storage solutions for the owners belongings.

Embracing Reds and Clashing Tones

One of the most striking aspects of this transformation is the use of bold, clashing colours. Reds, purples, oranges and other vibrant tones were meticulously chosen to create a dynamic and energetic atmosphere. While this might seem unconventional, our expert designers along with the client, ensured that these colours harmonised beautifully, resulting in an interior that is both eye-catching and cohesive.

Master Cabin

A huge transformation in the master cabin includes increasing the size of the bed base, significantly reducing the use of timber by removing the upper lockers Port & Starboard, a custom sofa on the Starboard side. Every panel has been replaced & resized to more modern sizes

Every element of the Broom 42CL is customised to the client’s specifications. From bespoke furniture pieces and unique lighting fixtures to custom-designed cabinetry and high-end materials, no detail was overlooked. The yacht now features a state-of-art entertainment system, luxurious cabins and a beautiful gourmet galley, all tailored to enhance the onboard experience.

Forward Cabin

Our client desired a double cabin configuration in the Forward instead of 2 individual bunks – we therefore created a double berth with ample storage below. Along with every thing you can see being changed in this cabin

Cockpit

We have reupholstered all the exterior upholstery and manufactured the helmseats from 3 individual bulky seats, into one slick bench seat that electronically slides forward & aft to transition form driving position into the backrest for the cockpit seating area.
